Collect Seed and Propagate:
  • Echinacea

  • Scabiosa
    • Ever-blooming blue; can never have enough
  • Forget me nots
    • Was not successful last year propagating by seed; will need to try again
    • Had very good germination rates, but they never took off.  Will need to baby the seedlings
  • Anchusa (Dropmore)

    • Plants grow 4-5 ft. tall
  • Nepeta nervosa (Blue Catmint - perennial)

    • Long flowering, large plant
    • For best results, winter sow in the fall
  • Aster
    • Because it's blue
  • Mugwort?
    • Not sure.  Considering.  Think it might look nice in the large bed mixed in with the echinacea and Joe Pye Weed (and need to see how that stuff looks)
  • Bachelor Buttons
    • These look great in pots
  • Nicotiana
    • These look great in pots.  Don't over crowd; it's a large and hungry plant
  • Joe Pye Weed
    • Depending on how it looks
  • Lavender
    • Because it's blue
  • Balloon Flower
    • Need BLUE; I think I killed all the germinated seedlings when I forgot to water
  • Leucanthemum
    • Need to really start propagating these and mix them into the borders with the echinacea
